Twinkling Stars started out late in 2017 as the creative vehicle of singer/ songwriter, Jacob J B Serra. The band began performing seriously, as a 3-piece, mid way through 2018. After a bit of a break from performing in 2020, due to the global pandemic, the group has returned anew as a 4 piece. The band’s sound combines elements of grunge, alt-country, jangle pop, drone, free jazz and spoken word.
Inspired by artists such as Cat Power, Andrew Bird and Fiona Apple, Fleur Wiber has recently joined forces with other awesome musicians to transform her music from a softer folk sound to an alt country ensemble with fuzzy guitars and drums. Fleur’s sound is reminiscent of artists such as Sharon Van Etten and Lucy Wainwright Roche. Through her gypsy travels, Fleur has written songs which explore freedom, mindfulness, love and the self. Eternally inspired by the aesthetics of folk music, Fleur is dedicated to the community aspect of music performance. She loves to perform small, intimate shows.
