Celebrate the return of live music and increased venue capacities with a night of alt-rock at Moshpit Bar!
Three varied bands await your eyes and ears:
– the vibrant and eccentric SL8ERBOY
– the moody and suburban inplastique
– and the rough-around-the-edges jackrabbit
SL8ERBOY is a 4-piece indie rock band from Sydney founded by a bunch of stinky fools. They draw inspiration from nerdy subcultures, bad dates & geological events. This culminates in lyrical anthems ranging from the heartbreak of being ditched on Halloween, all the way to Yellowstone exploding & Canadian cowboys.
inplastique is a 2 piece outfit from Sydney, Australia founded by Rhys Henriques (mouth/guitar) and Layth Haddad (drums). We would describe our sound like the feeling you get when you get up too quickly after lying down for a long time. We try to combine all our influences together to make a musical abomination. But most of all I think the goal is to make catchy tunes that play some sort of role in people’s lives. for the people driving late at night, lying in bed at 3am or hanging around friends.
jackrabbit is a five-pieced animal, born in an old garage located somewhere in Sydney’s Inner West. This creature tends to make noises that could be labelled as grungy, alternative rock. However, a variety of influences as far and wide as hip-hop, punk and classic rock combine to give this specimen a sound of its own. jackrabbit will have you hopping up and down with hard-hitting, high-energy moshers, and may surprise you with its softer underbelly too.
