Beijing Bikini are a 4piece Sydney band that features members of the local DIY music community who also play in Garry David, MoMos and The Baddies. Both vocalist Bob Blunt and bassist Darcy Eunson-Cottle played together in The Bacchantes throughout the 1990s. They caught up in 2015 for a reformation before they sought out guitarist Drew Thomason (MoMos) and drummer Terry Van See from The Baddies to form Beijing Bikini.

The band play a distinctive brand of post punk pop and have caught the eye of followers since debuting in 2017. A fan said this about them – ‘a tight post punk pop soundtrack to Bob Blunt’s distinctive vocal delivery. I could watch Drew play guitar any day. Precision rambling is an oxymoron.

Their debut self titled album was originally recorded by Geoff Lee at Zen Studios (Sydney), tinkled with at Drew’s home studio (Pennant Hills). Mixed by Russell Pilling and mastered by Andrew Beck at Damien Gerards in October 2018 www.damiengerard.com.au

Note, this is their first show for 2020 at the newly reopened and covid safe MoshPit. Special guests are the very good Rubber Necker
