Sydney-based songwriter Katie Rosewood returns to the stage to launch her new single 'The Preacher', from her forthcoming debut album Symptoms.
'The Preacher' looks at the dark path of obsession through a lens of dream-like nostalgia. It follows other recent releases 'Machine Thinking' and 'The Scary Thing'.
Katie Rosewood is a Sydney musician broken free of the conservatorium walls to share her reflections on the darker side of life. She pairs her stunning classical guitar chops with heavy instrumentation and cathartic lyricism reminiscent of her alt rock heroes.
Betty is an up-and-coming talent from Sydney's south, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter with rave reviews from Triple J, and Splendour performances already under her belt, her vocals are as smooth as silk with the lyrical talent of those far beyond her years. She's inspired by the likes of Blood Orange, Daniel Caesar and Erykah Badu.
SWAM are a jazz-funk trio made up of amazing local musicians to close off the night.
